How long have you been in the industry? This will be my 9th year in Arboriculture, I spent 5 years in Horticulture before that.
What does your typical work day involve? Everyday is different as a contractor, could be anything from large to small prunes or removals, hedging, palm cleans or removals, some days I just do groundie, fairy light installation.
What's the biggest challenge of your job? Adapting to working with different
companys, people and personalities, understanding, accepting, being able to
fit in and work alongside those changing factors.
What’s your proudest work accomplishment so far? I would say probably
starting contracting, having that confidence in myself to go out on my own
and opening up new opportunities for myself.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone wanting to start in the Arb industry? Its definitely a learning on the go and gain experience by doing it job, pay attention, learn, absorb and ask as many questions as you can!
