How long have you been in the industry?
Around 20 years, been doing at height jobs for close to 30
What does your typical work day involve?
Anything from crane work, cabling, pruning, technical rigging… it’s a surprise every morning and that’s how I like it haha
What's the biggest challenge of your job?
I’m pretty introverted until I get to know you. So I’d have to say dealing with people haha that’s why it’s best for me in the trees. But we’re extremely blessed with the clients we have and I’ve grown close to a lot of them.
What’s your proudest work accomplishment so far?
I recently won 1st place at aerial rescue which is something I trained really hard for. There’s also a few jobs that I’m really proud of when it comes to certain support systems we’ve installed and a few extremely technical removals we’ve safely preformed. Other than those, I’d say where I’m at in my career. I set a lot of goals a long time ago and I’m slowly crossing them off. I look forward to continuing to grow/learn and meeting more of them.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone wanting to start in the Arb industry?
Find a good mentor… don’t settle for any company. Do your research. It’s only as hazardous as you make it, so think it through! If you ever feel unsure, trust your gut! Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions.
Anything else you’d like to share?
I’d like to thank my amazing wife, family, friends, and sponsors. I’m blessed to have the most amazing support group a person could ask for. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
